Phoenix Short Deck Large Index Red

This Phoenix Deck Large Index was produced directly by the US Playing Card Company. In order to eliminate the telltale thin edge when trimmed, we have adjusted the back pattern accordingly and punched it centered.

These games have numerous uses; in fact, an entire chapter in the classic The Encyclopedia of Card Tricks is devoted to the short card.

Add a regular playing card to the short game and you immediately have a deck with a long guide card, put a short card into a regular game and you have a short guide card that fits perfectly into the regular game. Combine the short game with a regular poker deck and you have two perfect Mene-Tekel decks with "alternating long and short duplicate cards".

We also use these cards for the production of our Phoenix Svengali decks in "casino quality".
