Professional Spirit Slates (Magnetic)- Trick

Effect:

The mentalist or magician picks up two slates from a table. Both slates are free of any writing or markings. The magician then sets the slates back onto a table then places a piece of chalk in between the two slates. At this point the magician selects a spectator from the audience. The spectator chooses a card without showing it to anyone. The magician asks the spectator to simply concentrate on the card. The magician then calls on the "spirits" to reveal the thought of card by writing the card's value on the slates. The slates are opened and it appears that the spirits have written the thought of card on the slates...
