Dom Dom Burger is Japan's oldest hamburger chain, founded in 1970 by the Daiei department store company. The first outlet was opened in Machida, Tokyo, and the brand is now operated by the Rembrandt Group. Dom Dom is known for its unique and sometimes unconventional burger offerings, such as the Whole Soft Shell Crab Burger and the Konya wa Maitake Burger, which features a dense stack of fried shiitake mushrooms with teriyaki glaze.
